Couperose consists of fine, dilated vessels on cheeks and nose. They bother because they are red. And that is exactly the approach: light that is absorbed by red.
IPL emits pulses of light that are taken up by the blood in the vessels. The vessel wall warms, the vessel closes and is broken down by the body. The surrounding skin remains untouched. For individual, stronger vessels we use the Q-switched Nd:YAG.
Two to four sessions four weeks apart. A calmer complexion after the first session; vessels fade over the series. No downtime, slight redness the same day.
Afterwards: two weeks without sunbathing, sun protection every day, no sauna on the day. New vessels can form, which is why we recommend an annual maintenance session. We treat outside the eye area.
