The difference in one sentence
Botulinum toxin relaxes a muscle so that the line above it smooths out. EMFACE takes the opposite route: it strengthens the lifting facial muscles and builds structure in the skin at the same time. One quiets, the other trains. Almost everything else follows from that, including the question of who each one suits.

What EMFACE suits
EMFACE works on four areas, and it works well where tissue has lost tension:
- Jawline and the chin-to-neck transition. The strongest area. The line regains definition, a soft double chin is reduced.
- Cheeks and midface. More firmness, a natural lift, the centre of the face regains contour.
- Forehead and brows. A smoother forehead, the brows sit slightly higher.
- Eye area. The ring muscle is trained, the area looks more awake.
What EMFACE does not suit
This belongs to the same honesty. EMFACE is not the right choice if your main concern is a deep frown line or a pronounced expression line that remains at rest. Nor does it replace volume where substance is missing, or surgery where there is a great deal of excess skin. If that applies to you, we will tell you so at the consultation, even though it costs us the booking, and we will give you an address from our network.
Why we do not offer botulinum toxin
Villa Zeltweg is not a medical practice. In Switzerland, injections of botulinum toxin are reserved for doctors; we do not perform them and we do not make medical diagnoses. This is not a shortcoming we hide, it is the boundary we work within. What we do master is skin and pigmentation with light, laser and radiofrequency. Nicola M. Mössner holds the Swiss diploma as a naturopath TEN with the V-NISSG certificate of competence for skin and pigmentation, registered in the ePortal of the Federal Office of Public Health, and is manufacturer-trained on every device in the house.
How a session runs
A short conversation, cleansing, jewellery off. The neutral electrode goes on the body, the applicators on the areas. Then twenty minutes of noticeable muscle work and pleasant warmth. We adjust the intensity throughout and you hold the comfort button. Afterwards you go straight back into your day: no redness, no dressing, no pause.
What it costs
EMFACE for the face costs CHF 500 per session, the jawline and the eye area CHF 450 each. Four sessions are the usual course. If you would like to treat structure and surface together, both are combined in our Contour concept. Every amount is listed openly on the prices page, with no package obligation and no hidden items.
The honest starting point
Before we recommend anything, we measure. The VISIA Gen 7 skin analysis records pigment, redness, pores and texture under identical light and in an identical head position. Those values are the starting point, and later they are the evidence of whether anything has moved. The consultation with analysis takes 45 minutes, costs CHF 180 and is credited against a treatment.
Frequently asked questions
Is EMFACE a replacement for Botox?
No, and we do not present it as one. The two work in opposite ways: botulinum toxin relaxes a muscle, EMFACE strengthens it. For loss of firmness, the jawline and the cheeks, EMFACE is often the more suitable choice. For a deep frown line it is not.
How quickly will I see something?
You feel the muscle work in the first session. The change becomes visible over the series, with the full result after around three months, because collagen takes time.
How long does the result last?
Around one year. A refresher of one or two sessions extends it.
Does it hurt?
No. You feel distinct muscle work and pleasant warmth, and you set the intensity with us.
Is there anything that rules it out?
Yes. Metal implants in the treatment area, electronic implants such as a pacemaker, pregnancy and a number of other situations exclude the treatment. We clarify this before the first session.
