Two routes to the same question
Focused ultrasound, known as HIFU or under brand names such as Ultherapy, concentrates sound energy at a defined depth. Point coagulation zones form there, contract as they heal and build collagen over months. That is effective and happens in a single session, one that is frequently described as painful.
EMFACE takes a different route. Synchronised radiofrequency warms the dermis across the area to a level at which fibroblasts form new collagen and elastin. At the same time HIFES impulses train the lifting facial muscles. Both together, spread across four short sessions.

What we use EMFACE for
- Jawline and the chin-to-neck transition. The strongest area, the line regains definition.
- Cheeks and midface. More firmness, a natural lift.
- Forehead and brows. A smoother forehead, the brows sit slightly higher.
- Eye area. The ring muscle is trained, the area looks more awake.
Where there is a great deal of excess skin, no device will help, only a surgical procedure. We say so openly at the consultation and give you an address from our network. The comparison with botulinum toxin is set out under firming without needles.
Structure and surface together
A firmer contour only looks settled when the surface follows. That is why we often combine EMFACE with LaseMD Ultra: structure first, then texture. As a finished plan that is Contour. Every service remains individually bookable.
The beginning
Before we recommend anything, we measure. The VISIA Gen 7 skin analysis shows where your skin actually stands. The consultation with analysis takes 45 minutes, costs CHF 180 and is credited against a treatment. All prices are listed openly under prices.
Frequently asked questions
Do you offer HIFU?
No. For firming we work with EMFACE, that is radiofrequency and muscle stimulation rather than focused ultrasound.
Which is more comfortable?
EMFACE, clearly. Twenty minutes, adjustable intensity, and afterwards back into your day without redness. HIFU is frequently described as painful.
How quickly will I see something?
Across the series, with the full result after around three months. Collagen build-up takes time, and that applies to both procedures.
Is there anything that rules EMFACE out?
Yes. Metal implants in the treatment area, electronic implants such as a pacemaker, pregnancy and other situations exclude the treatment. We clarify this before the first session.
